For Students

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. Chicago Yoga Collective operates outside the traditional yoga studio/gym framework, so things work a little differently. Also, things may shift as we learn and grow. For now, though, here is a breakdown of what to do if you want to practice with us:

  1. Sign up for our newsletter to receive notification and information about upcoming classes.
  2. Check the schedule to see what classes are available, cost, location, style, and level.
  3. Class sizes are limited. Walk-ins are permitted; however, it is recommended to reserve your space.
  4. To reserve your space in a particular class, e-mail the teacher directly.
  5. The space may or may not have yoga mats and props. The best practice is to bring your own, including either a beach towel or rolled-up mat for Forrest classes.
  6. We rent the space on an hourly basis. This means no one will be there until 15 minutes before class begins. It also means there is no receptionist.
  7. Because there is no receptionist, doors will be locked at the start of class. If you have reserved a space ahead of time, please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the class in order to ensure your reserved space is not given to a walk-in student.
  8. You will need to fill out a waiver upon arrival the first time you take a Chicago Yoga Collective class.
  9. Changing rooms are not always available (depending on space). So arrive already wearing proper attire.
  10. We will accept payment via cash or check. If paying by cash, exact change would be very much appreciated.
  11. Prepare to breathe deeply. Thank you!
